Windows 11 has finally arrived after months of waiting to replace the operating system that was supposed to be the last version of Windows. If you remember, when Windows 10 was introduced, Microsoft mentioned that it will be the last version of Windows and it will be equipped with new features over time by receiving updates. But the company based in Redmond showed that this is not the case with the introduction of Windows 11, and Windows 10, like all previous versions of Windows, is going to be retired in the future. The most important change that Windows 11 has experienced is the redesign of the user interface in a completely new style. The Windows 11 start menu has a completely different look and there are no more live tiles in the style of Windows 8, 8.1 and 10. Also, the edges of the windows and many other parts of the user interface do not have that sharp and angular shape of Windows 10 and have become more rounded.
All these changes have made Windows 11 look completely modern, but it is enough to work with it for a while to realize that this version also gives the same familiar feeling as the previous Windows, which, of course, should not be seen as a negative point. However, due to the many problems and incomplete design of some parts, it looks more or less like a non-final and beta version of an operating system, and this is exactly what we expect from Microsoft: releasing an incomplete operating system and completing and Fix its faults in the future!
Many of the features that Microsoft promised to provide in Windows 11 have not yet been provided and some of the basic and functional features of Windows 10 do not have a place in this version. Another issue that makes many users stay away from this operating system is its very strong dependence on relatively new hardware. Microsoft says that upgrading to Windows 11 is free for all Windows 10 users; But it is possible to upgrade provided that they are equipped with processors of the last few years. Minimum System Requirements for Windows 11
If your computer is from before 2018, although you can install this operating system on your computer with tricks such as through the ISO file of Windows 11, but you probably have no chance of “official” support for Windows 11. You probably think that hardware-wise, there is not much limit to Windows 11 installation does not exist. Desktop Design
Microsoft has taken ideas from other operating systems such as Mac OS, iOS, Chrome OS and Android in the design of some parts of the user interface. In Windows 11, the edges of the windows and keys inside the applications have become more rounded and now they have moved away from the square appearance with sharp edges in Windows 10. In addition, this taskbar has been moved to the middle of the screen and now it looks more or less similar to Mac OS. The location of the start menu has also been moved to the middle of the page. I will explain a little further about the start menu and taskbar.
In Windows 10, we saw multiple virtual desktops that allowed the user to run separate applications in each one. Windows 11 also has the same feature, but now it is more complete than before. In the taskbar, you will see an icon with the appearance of two windows on top of each other. By clicking on it, you can add a new virtual desktop from the bottom of the screen or access all the items you have already created. When you add a new desktop, you can choose a different name for it, but you still have access to all the files and applications on your computer, and even the icons on both desktops and their layout are the same.
Virtual desktop is especially useful when you plan to separate the work and home environments in Windows, and for example, have office programs such as Microsoft Office on the work desktop and play games or surf in the home environment. Get busy on the internet. Also, the possibility to change the background image of each desktop separately has been added to Windows 11.
Among other important changes, we should mention the new look of the icons. Now, instead of items such as This PC, the Windows trash can, drives and folders being shown in an angular form and from the side view, they have a flatter appearance and have taken on a more minimal state.
Another change that made working with Windows more complicated for some users, but made Windows 11 look more minimal, is related to the right-click menu. In Windows 11, this menu is much quieter than before and only some basic options are considered for it. Also, items such as cut, copy, rename, share and delete the file have been moved to the top of the right-click menu with a graphic appearance.
One of the problems that can be seen in many parts of Windows 11 is the incompatibility of some parts with dark mode. For example, when you have dark mode enabled, windows including task manager and some control panel menus will still remain white. I wish Microsoft would finally solve this problem completely in Windows 11 after years.
But the part that makes working with this menu more complicated than before is in the Show more options section. Microsoft has moved any other items it deems less important to this section. For this reason, to access these items, you have to go through one click step more than Windows 10.
New start menu and taskbar
Start menu and taskbar of Windows 11 are some of the parts that you will notice significant changes from the very beginning. Windows 11 is designed to focus more on the middle of the screen. For this reason, the taskbar has been moved to the middle of the screen, and the start menu instead of the left corner, which was a Microsoft signature in Windows, is now running in the middle of the screen in a style more or less similar to Mac OS. Of course, if you wish, you can move the taskbar and start menu to the left corner, but surprisingly, it is not possible to pin the taskbar to the left and right sides or to the top of the screen.
The Windows 11 start menu now has a much simpler look and there is no more Windows 10 live tiles. For this reason, it has largely moved away from the irregular shape and image of Windows 10, and now it is easier to see the application icons than before. When you click on the Windows icon, a rectangular menu opens that looks very similar to the Android apps section. At the top of the Start menu, there is a search box that offers the same functionality and even results as Windows 10, and similarly searches between applications and the Internet.
In the start menu of Windows 10, there was no separate place for search, but by typing anything in this section, the search was simply started. As a result, in Windows 10, many users did not realize that such a feature was available to them in the start menu. For this reason, the addition of this box to Windows 11 should be considered a positive point, although at the same time you can still search by typing in the Start menu. If you don’t want to open the start menu to search, just touch the magnifying glass icon on the taskbar. This option will give you exactly the same results with the same appearance, and maybe from the point of view of some users, considering two search methods in the operating system is pointless.
A little lower than the search box of the start menu, a box containing 18 icons can be seen, which, of course, is not limited to this number, and other items can be accessed by scrolling down. These icons are the ones you have pinned to the main Start menu for faster access. Windows initially filled this section with its own applications, including Microsoft Edge, email, calendar and store. In addition, you can access all applications by clicking on the All apss option on the top right. In the lower half of the start menu, applications, folders or suggested files including 6 items are displayed. Windows automatically brings things to this section that it thinks you might need, but in practice this section is not very useful and it might be better to remove it altogether from the settings section. However, if this section is not displayed, surprisingly, the top icons of the start menu are not added to the bottom and this section remains completely empty.
To sum up, it should be said that the new design of Taskbar and the start menu is functional, but it is still far from complete maturity. However, users who are used to the Windows 10 start menu may not like this design.
New window management tool
Windows 11 is equipped with a useful and interesting window management feature called “Snap Assist”. With the help of this feature, your hand becomes more open to arrange windows than before. In Windows 11, in addition to the possibility of arranging windows through keyboard shortcuts and dragging them to the corners of the screen, you can also arrange windows in an easier way. For this, it is enough to move the mouse cursor on the increase/decrease sign at the top right of the windows and then choose one of the 6 layout modes. These 6 modes include the arrangement of two windows with equal proportions next to each other or the arrangement with the ratio of 70/30, 50/25/25 and the arrangement of 3 windows with equal proportions next to each other.
Windows 11 also remembers your settings. If you minimize a window, you can return to the previous layout by moving the mouse cursor over the desired program icon in the taskbar section. Personally, I usually have a habit of 50/50 arrangement and only for two windows side by side, and it is rare that I use an arrangement other than this. But this functionality of Windows 11 allows me to even have multiple 50/50 layouts and switch between them quickly and easily.
Windows 11 widgets
One of the parts that Microsoft used to maneuver a lot when introducing Windows 11 was Windows 11 widgets. Windows 11 widgets are considered a better alternative to Windows 10 live tiles, and of course, they are not dissimilar to Windows 8 gadgets. Widgets are accessible by clicking on its special icon in the taskbar and include things like the weather, stock prices of international companies, and a photo gallery. At the bottom of the widgets, there are news, which are gradually loaded by scrolling down and added to their number. Microsoft intelligently displays news based on your interests. For this purpose, at the beginning of the installation of Windows 11, it asks questions about your interests, and in addition, by clicking on the three dots symbol in each of the stories, you can choose to show more or less similar items to you.
Let’s not forget that when Microsoft introduced Windows 11, it displayed parts of widgets that had the possibility of advanced customization and the user could run them in full screen mode. But the widgets that are currently available to users do not have any of these features, and in fact, like many other parts of Windows 11, widgets are currently incompletely implemented. Currently, customization of widgets is limited to items such as resizing, adding and removing them, and some other items specific to each widget.
At first glance, the idea of widgets seems interesting, but currently the ones offered by Microsoft are too limited to be practical for most people. In addition, widgets are not mainly independent, and you are redirected to other Microsoft apps including the Edge browser to view climate details, stock prices or even add an event to the calendar. That is why widgets are part of Windows 7 that you probably forget about it after a while and you probably don’t see any need to use; Unless third -party developers work and design attractive widgets or Microsoft will improve it.
Microsoft divides the Windows 7 action center into two separate sections, including notifications and fast settings, which I think is the right decision. To access quick settings, you need to click on the set of battery icons (in laptops), volume and Wi -Fi in the taskbar. Quick settings include Wi -Fi or Bluetooth devices, aircraft mode, battery storage, night light adjustment and display brightness and volume. In addition, by clicking the pencil mark at the bottom of this page, you can delete or add your favorite options or change their order. If you click on the clock and date section in the taskbar, the calendar will open with the notifications. One of the problems I have experienced many times is not to open or open the settings with a high delay. This strange bug will probably be fixed in the future.
Android App Support
One of the attractions of Windows 7 that excited many of us from the beginning is the support of Android apps, but unfortunately there is still no news about the first version of Windows. However, it has been a few weeks since this feature has been added to the Insider version and is expected to be released to all users in the not too distant future. Microsoft has announced that with the participation of Amazon, it will offer Android apps available to Windows 7 to Windows 7 users. It is also said that Android apps will be applicable to PCs equipped with Intel and AMD processors.
Amazon AppStore has much fewer applications than Google PlayStore and has many applications such as Gmail and YouTube. The question is, will we only be limited to the Android apps provided in the Amazon App Store or can access all Android apps? We have to wait to answer the question.
Windows 7 settings
The Windows 7 Settings section is one of the good points of designing this operating system. One of the problems with the Windows Settings section was that it was designed with nested menus, and if you were going to one section and were planning to go back to another main menu, you would have to return to the front page. In Windows 7, however, the main menus are on the left side of the settings page and are always available. The color icons of the main menu make it much easier to find different parts than before.
, of course, some parts of the settings menu, including more advanced sound settings, are still redirected to the old -fashioned pages that are not even compatible with the interface interface. Overall, Windows 7 settings have experienced significant improvements, but it is still in progress, and Microsoft can still integrate many of the side parts that guide you outside the environment.
But it is one of the interface sections that I don’t like at all is related to the process of changing the default applications. In Windows 7, the default app was a relatively simple method, and by selecting one option, you could easily select one app for the browser, another to play audio files, and another to display the photo. . But Microsoft in Windows 7 has tried to complicate and overwhelm the process as much as possible.
Simply go to the relevant section in the settings and see some of the many options that are only ahead of Microsoft’s default browser to Google Chrome to change the default browser. Microsoft has designed this section more advanced than before, forcing you to select the default app for each format (including HTML or XHTML).

To use DirectStorage, you need to have a NVME SSD memory at least 1 terabyte and the graphics card supports DirectX 12.

Judging by Windows 7 is not very simple at least in the present time because many of its useful features have not yet been offered. On the other hand, many of the capabilities that are currently accessible are either incompletely implemented or suffered from different bugs. But besides these disadvantages, Windows 7 comes with some functional features and now looks more mature than any other version.
